SPAN 471.7 - Topics in Hispanic Cinema (Cinema Dystopia) - Winter 2025

Study of Spanish, Latin American, Caribbean and Chicano cinema in its historical, political, and social context. Examines a variety of topics (national and gender identities, construction of myths, relations of cinema to popular culture, relations between cinema and literature, etc.). Use of contemporary theories of cinematographic expression.
This course may be repeated for credit.
