Dr. Carlos de Cuba's research interests include syntactic theory, the syntax-semantics interface, Germanic Linguistics, Swedish, and TESOL. He has specific expertise in sentential complementation, factivity and wh-islands. Upon completion of his Ph.D., Dr. de Cuba was awarded a W. Burghardt Turner Postdoctoral Fellowship at Stony Brook, a two-year award which enabled him to develop both teaching and research experience in his areas of specialization. In 2009-2010, he gained additional teaching experience as a visiting assistant professor in syntax at Pomona College in Claremont, California.
