Emily Macpherson

I was born in central Alberta and spent some of my childhood in New Brunswick before returning to Alberta. I moved to Calgary in 2016 to begin my studies at the U of C and obtained a B.A in French in 2021. I am currently enrolled in a thesis-based M.A in the SLLLC with a specialization in French. 

My research interests are focused on the intersection of literature and philosophy. This broadly includes feminist literature, the 19th century works of Balzac, and 19th century philosophy. During my downtime, I enjoy reading anything by Anthony Bourdain, cooking, getting outside, and finding new music.
