About Me

I completed my B.A. in Spanish at the University of Calgary. I chose the University of Calgary for my Master’s program because of the high calibre professors who unreservedly share their knowledge and expertise here. I am interested in Medieval History, Medieval and Golden Age Spain, and Manuscript Studies.  I my supervisor is Dr. Rachel Schmidt, and my co-supervisor Dr. Kenneth Brown. I speak both English and Spanish. In my free time I can often be found in the library or the bookstore. My favorite novel: hmmm.... Sofía de los presagios by Gioconda Belli, O’Malley of Shanganagh by Donn Byrne.... too many favorites, ask me sometime and I’ll list them all for you. No favorite films for me. If I can’t be found in my day-to-day haunts, then I am in my kitchen cooking, or off exploring somewhere new, or dancing Argentine Tango. I may also just plain be snuggling with my two red, short-coated mini Dachshunds, with a cup of coffee, chatting with friends and family.
