The Chinese Program at the School of Languages, Linguistics, Literatures and Cultures held its 13th Chinese Language Skill Contest and celebrated the Chinese New Year of the Rooster on February 8, 2017. The topic of this year’s contest was “Chinese Teachers Online.”

All students in Chinese language courses competed in the first round; the winners then met in Gallery Hall of the Taylor Family Digital Library at 3:30pm, February 8, for the final competition. Deputy Consul General Lei Wang and Consul Jie Bai from the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Calgary attended the contest and donated generous book prizes to the winners.
