Information for International Students

Pursuing an MA degree in German in Canada means capitalizing on a number of opportunities: The MA program in German encourages interdisciplinary work that combines the study of German in the widest sense with a number of other disciplinary perspectives. The University of Calgary particularly fosters inter- and multi-disciplinarity. Studying at a Canadian university also means capitalizing on a vibrant multicultural perspective that is evident in much of the course offerings at Canadian institutions. The MA program in German will allow you to connect the study of German to other cultures and disciplines and help you gain an international perspective that has become more important than ever in the 21st century.

Tuition Fees for International Students:

The University of Calgary has higher tuition fees for international students than for domestic ones. However, the School of Languages, Linguistics, Literatures and Cultures has a policy of returning the international fee differential (75 %) to international graduate students.
