The course objectives are twofold: 1. To continue the discussion of main concepts and trends in translation studies as introduced in ROST 409. This will be done by a careful reading, explanation, and discussion of a number of texts to be distributed in class. 2. To complete a translation project serving as a basis for the discussion of cultural and linguistic elements relevant to the practice of translation.
This course may not be repeated for credit.
